352 Media Group is hosting a horseshoe pitching contest where a lucky contestant can win $10,000 as part of a fundraiser for HOPE, Horses Helping People. HOPE, an Archer, FL based not for profit which provides equine-assisted therapy to people with disabilities, will hold its annual Triple Crown fundraiser May 19th during the Preakness race.
Attendees of the fundraiser will be able to qualify throughout the evening to participate in the finals where the three top performers from the night will each get one toss. A ringer in the finals will result in a $10,000 cash prize.
‘This is more than just an exciting contest,’ said 352 Media Group’s Vice President of Marketing, Peter VanRysdam. ‘It’s a great way for 352 Media to raise awareness for an amazing organization that helps so many. By helping HOPE raise money, we’re helping them touch even more lives.’
HOPE was established in July 2000, as a not-for-profit organization, to offer equine-assisted therapy to enrich the lives and experiences of individuals with disabilities. HOPE’s founders and directors have extensive equine backgrounds and work in a variety of professions, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise science, nursing and special education. They are active at the local, state, national and international levels with regard to equine assisted therapy and activities, thus providing services that are truly state of the art.
