If you run a Google search for the term ‘352 Media’ or ‘352 Media Group’, the top result now looks a little different than most..
Notice the links to many subsections of our Web site that appear below our Google listing. These are called Google Sitelinks.
Google automatically adds Sitelinks below the search results of popular, deep Web sites. In order to get Sitelinks added to your Google listing, your Web site generally needs to have a good pagerank and a high number of external links to various subsections. If your Web site meets this criteria, Google will automatically generate these Sitelinks and append them below your Google listing for certain search queries. There is no way to request Google to add these Sitelinks to your Web site’s listing. It is up to Google to determine if your Web site is worthy.
Google’s algorithm also automatically determines what the specific Sitelinks will be based on what Google believes are the most popular subsections of your Web site. In our case Google did a pretty good job assessing our Sitelinks. The only strange one is “Georgia Web Design Services” – it doesn’t seem to fit in with the others.
Google only displays these Sitelinks if Google’s algorithm feels that the result is an exact match for your search. For example, these Sitelinks appear under our listing if you search for ‘352 Media’ or ‘352 Media Group’, but not if you search for ‘web development company’ or other keywords where our listing also appears.
Thanks, Google, for Sitelinking us! We are happy to have this honor bestowed upon us.
