For all you Simpsons fans out
there get ready for the cartoon to become a reality. 7-Eleven has teamed up with
The Simpsons
Movie, scheduled to premier July 27, for some overnight store makeovers.
The remodels to over a dozen stores in the US and Canada will include new
uniforms and name tags for the employees, life-size characters (Homer,
Marge, Lisa, Maggie, store owner Apu, Chief Wiggum and Comic Book Guy) placed
throughout the store and even a whole line of products, such as FROSTY KRUSTYO’Scereal available for purchase. Not to mention, Bart’s favorite comic book
featuring Radioactive
Man sold at a bargain price of $3.99.
The marketing
of this movie involved so much planning! Two years in the making and
I think it will have a HUGE impact for not only the promotion of the movie but
7-Eleven’s profits. I do not think that fans of this
and beyond traditional movie marketing.
As the years have progressed, I have stopped watching the new episodes that
would air every Sunday night. It is my opinion that the old school
episodes are much funnier; it will be interesting to see how the movie does in
the box office because no matter how much you market a movie, it will not be
successful unless it pleases the fans. Especially in this case. DOH!?!
