I’m wrapping up my slides for our upcoming Webinar on Social Media and the Lost Art of Marketing Principles (applying traditional marketing fundamentals to social media marketing), and I came across something interesting. I was looking at the concept of Marketing Myopia and how it plays in to the new social platforms. In doing so, I was looking at industries like newspapers that have struggled to evolve, and found this great visual representation of how communication has evolved from Baekdal Magazine:
Note that the time from left to right isn’t proportional, which skews things a little. However it still makes the point. I wonder what’s next!
