I’m wrapping up my slides for our upcoming Webinar on Social Media and the Lost Art of Marketing Principles (applying traditional marketing fundamentals to social media marketing), and I came across something interesting.  I was looking at the concept of Marketing Myopia and how it plays in to the new social platforms.  In doing so, I was looking at industries like newspapers that have struggled to evolve, and found this great visual representation of how communication has evolved from Baekdal Magazine

Note that the time from left to right isn’t proportional, which skews things a little.  However it still makes the point.  I wonder what’s next!
