The Windows Phone Developer Conference is a three-day event for Microsoft mobile app developers to hone their design and development skills, learning directly from the pioneers in the industry. This year, our own Lincoln Anderson will take center stage.

Anderson is no stranger to Windows Phone app development. In his more than 10 years with 352 Media Group, he designed the interface for some of the first Windows Phone apps, including a Windows Phone powered t-shirt cannon for Microsoft’s Mix Conference in 2010.

The 2012 Windows Phone Developer Conference will cover everything from classes, seminars and keynotes for windows app development with a key focus on Microsoft’s Metro design, the new interface for Windows Phones and the soon-to-be-released Windows 8.

Anderson is also one of the pioneers in the Metro design. He’s the lead developer behind Make it Metro, a design resource and style guide showing how developers can incorporate Microsoft’s new design interface into their phone apps, and designed the dashboard interface for the Micro-Stang.

Anderson will be speaking on two advanced sessions at Windows Phone Developer Conference, one that covers how to bring better user experience to the Metro design in Windows Phone application design. The other is an interactive clinic where answer question and offer feedback on attendees Metro apps

“It’s great to be able to be a part of such a bleeding edge conference,” Anderson said.  “I’m especially excited to be able to follow my talk on Metro with a second session reviewing some great apps from the community.”

The Windows Phone Developer Conference will be in 2013 in San Francisco, California.
