I have been eying up the FOWA conferences for quite some time now, and always thought about attending.  This year they’re coming to Miami Feb 28th – Mar 1st.  Some of the confirmed speakers include Kevin Rose “Digg” Matt Mullenweg “WordPress” among other big names in the industry.  So I’m thinking 2 days learning and 2 days deep sea fishing on the keys.

However as exciting as it may be to go to south beach with a bunch of web 2.0 geeks, is it really worth it !!!  Have any of you (352 Staff) or our blog readers (yes we appreciate you reading) been to a FOWA event?  If you attended  I have some questions …

(1) What should I expect ?

(2) Did you get anything from it

(3) Would an Account manager get as much from it as web 2.0 developer (I hate that phrase)

This conference seems to aimed at web apps and community driven sites which are in fact all the rage these days but its not really the type of site I sell, so I don’t know that spending a 2 grand on passes, flights, hotels  and socializing to have my head wrecked with computer code is really a great idea.

your thoughts ……
